Wow. I heard that Taurus had great customer service. Hmmm.

If you want another 9mm, it depends on how much you want to spend. If you want economy, go for the Ruger. The P85, P89. and P95 are GREAT pieces; virtually indestructible in design. Expect to pay about $330 for one. Can't say enough good about em. If you want concealed carry, go for the Kel-tec P-11. It's VERY small, lightweight and reliable, but doesn't feel as tough as the Ruger. It has a really long trigger pull I don't like, but at $200, not a bad piece at all.

HOWEVER... If you have money to burn, you can't beat a Sig 226. In my humble opinion, I compare it's recoil to my 10/22 rifle. It shoots INCREDIBLY smooth, and will place shots better than you can aim. Best 9mm I EVER shot. Still, you'll pay for that quality, at about $600-700.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have heard nothing but good things
about the Sig so I may look into one.

Good news also from Taurus, they will send me a rear-sight. Lets hope it does not take 6 weeks!

    Thanks again for your help.

My Taurus 99 ae was great. It was another gun i should not have sold. The finish was not as nice as my beretta 92fs. But it was well made and i have good luck with the company when i had a problem with the firing pin they took care of it for me!

My Taurus P92 was my first handgun, and no problem from day one, but if your in the market for a new 9mm, give the baby eagle a look over. A buddy just pick one up for $350 (I think). Very accurate with a nice trigger pull out of the box.

The most equivalent pistol to the PT111 is the Kel-Tec P11, which I consider the best choice in its size and power category. It also costs less than the PT111. The P11 uses Smith & Wesson M59-pattern magazines, which are readily available at reasonable prices.

    Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the recommendations. Judge, I have read many of your replies especially for the Kel-Tec and are very envious. I always wanted the .32 but in California the DOJ has not seen fit to certify any Kel-Tec handgun!!

    All the best,
