Can a winchester model 12 12 gauge 2 3/4" chamber be modified ( have chamber lenghtened) to shoot 3" shells
The reason i ask is i own a model 12 roit gun (watts commemorative edition[:D]) which is in like new condition. I would like to purchase a extra barrel/ mag, forearm which i see a lot of on ebay. I would like to have a spare duck gun realize the new set up will have to be fitted .What i really wanted was a 12 heavy duck
    thanks rp

Age is easy - post enough of the s/n (usually all but the last digit
or two) and it can be dated. There are (almost) no records from the factory on where these guns went, so figuring out where it was first sold would be difficult.

The 32" barrel sugjests it's a heavy Duck. It is more rare with the long barrel. I think I have a stock for it. E-mail is Almaguns@mwt.net

M-12 in 3" were not made until about 1935.

Sorry, I wasn't paying to the date. You are right.
