If the criteria for owning one doesnt include having the most effective self defense caliber, consider the Walther PP,PPk and PPKS in 22lr. They are all very accurate and a lot cheaper to shoot than .32s and .380s. While the PPK seems coolest, the longer grip of the PP and PPK will be better at the range.
