bushnell 3x9 armor -site

BOUGHT A USED SCOPE TODAY AT MY LOCAL GUN STORE .ITS A BUSHNELL ARMOR -SITE 3X9 .I WAS TOLD THAT THESE WERE OF MUCH BETTER QUALITY THAN THE TYPICAL BUSHNELL TODAY.ITS IN EXCELLENT COND ,WAS JUST WONDERING WHAT ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT THESE SCOPES AND APPROX VALUE ?THANKS IN ADVANCE DON

    If it were built prior to 1985, I could help with book information at least. Have not seen one of these. Bushnells are pretty decent for economy prices scopes, much better than Tasco or Simmons, but they are not high end, and most bring very modest prices.

    Actually, DD I did check the book, just out of curiosity, and do not find it listed under that name. Thus, I concluded it was post '85. It is possible that the model name is different, but does not appear on the scope (like Vari-X III does not appear on the scope). There are no photos in the book to go by, so you may need information from the box (Yeah, I know, I have about 20 old scopes and 1 in box). Sorry I could not nail it down, but perhaps you could contact the Bushnell web site and nail down the manufacture information and time frame. Then if we know it was before '85, I can give you some info and a tentative value. He Dog

    .the best they could tell me is it was brought out in 1987.they are sending me what literature they have on it .thanks again don

    Glad you got something to help you! If you are not selling it, value probably doesn't matter, and if you didn't pay a lot, you probably got a pretty good scope. Good shooting!

    This scope is really good I think it was in the elite series. All that makes it armored was that it had some kind of teflon coating. If this is the scope I think it is, its rare. To find out more about it call Bushnell customer service 1-800-423-3537
