.32 S&W long ammo bullet moulds & brass
several years ago i purchased a large lot of reloading equipment for the estate of an old 'dyed-in-the-wool' reloader of long standing there were many obsolete calibers
one of his big interests seemed to have been caliber .32 S&W Long
there was so much in fact i actually bought a revolver to try this stuff out
seems to be a better caliber than say a 32 auto and in my opinion would be marginally acceptable as a carry piece
read somewhere that there was once a great deal of interest in this caliber
and was wondering how one would go about finding that segment of the gun populace that still likes this stuff
there are lots of bullets he cast and lubed (he seems to have known his stuff) moulds
brass----bullets
are there still folks out there who favor this caliber?

There was a time (well before my time!) when .32 S&W Long was considered adequate for police work. It also set the standard for a long time as THE target accuracy round. It's a great caliber for petite ladies. I'd say you could find a lot of interest in what you've got right here--if someone on this forum doesn't try to make you a deal I'll bet it would go rapidly on the auction. 0 -
I do believe i will post this on auction----can anyone please tell me if it would be wise to list the bullet moulds, the cast bullets, the primed brass, the un-primed brass, the boxes of reloads, and the boxes of factory ammo all together? or would it be best to break it into lots? and how do you ship ammo and primed brass?

I believe I'd sell the moulds separately; the bullets, primed and unprimed brass as another lot, the reloads separtely, and the factory ammo separately. You should be able to ship the primed brass and loaded ammo as "Orm-D" UPS without a hazardous shipping fee. 0 -
I just loaded up 50 rnds of this stuff not ten minutes ago. 100gr .314 lead WC with 1.8 gr Red Dot. This is my first attempt at loading this caliber. I picked up a NIB H&R made in the 80's and so far have just shot factory stuff and am anxious to see how I do.
I actually shoot more .32 S&W (regular or short) than the long, often loaded with Blackpowder.

I've been buying alot of old .32s&w and .38s&w revolvers lately. I'm going to have to start loading that stuff myself. Please email me the auctions you post for these items, I will probably be bidding on them.

The .32 S&W and the .32 S&W Long are great little calibers, I reload and shoot both. It seems they have wained in popularity due to "Magnumitis", the thought that bigger is better. Anyway I would also be interested in your moulds and unprimed brass, either at auction, or direct sale. Let me know. robertmbrown@gator.net
