i own a simmons pro diamond but put it on my knight muzzleloader because it was short and compact. i have been using it for 5 or 6 years and love it,knock on wood, i have never missed a deer with it. i hunt in heavy woods,do not need any thing better.

harleeman1030: why a scope ? because you are shooting at a small target, ie only their head and neck, you don't body shot turkeys to hard to get a good killing shot ,and also a lot of shotguns don't hit where they are pointed so by putting a scope on them you can sight them in just like a rifle. I personly use a red dot type sight, I have used with good luck a aimpoint 5000, tasco pro point and also a holosight , i like the way the red dot draws your eye to the target plus the fact that with a dot sight you can shot with both eyes open which lets you see more of whats going on around you, like if there is more than one bird coming in you can see what they are doing instead on just looking through your scope at one bird.

While I don't normally use low-end optics, I put a Simmons on my turkey gun (Win 1300; kick like a team of mules). It has done a good job for me and held up for several seasons with no problems.
