What are some good scope rings?

Wanted to know what kind of scope rings some of you use. What do most of you use on higher caliber guns? Also, I have some Redfield rings and was wondering if any one has had any use with them or opinions? Thanks

  Leupold rings & a Weaver Base works great for me on everything from my .22 to my 06. Jim

  I always liked the Redfield rings! That intergal dove tail ring and mounting base (one pc.) always looked really "clean". The worst to me (looks wise) were the weaver mounts. They look to "busy" and not clean ...if you know what I mean. As far as preformance the Weavers are very good also. Good Luck ...Mark

  I use Dave Talley's rings and bases, and have conotols on a couple of rifles. Nothing stronger than Talley rings and nothing slicker looking than Conotrol. Both are a bit more spendy than the mass produced rings, but worth the price.

  I like Baer Mounts and several rings. Redfield makes good rings, and I beleive a set that I have for distance shooting are (don't quote me) Springfield Armory. 4 hex heads on each ring and an actual nut that is tightened on the base, VERY STURDY.

  We use Leupold and Millet rings on everything from .22 to .458. Never had a problem.

  Go with Leupold, never had a problem with them and I think they are better made than the Redfields.

  Check out Burris Signiture rings- they are steel with a self centering insert that makes everything perfectlly alligned- I have a set and love them- also keeps scope from being marred.

  I second that!BURRIS Signature rings with POS-ALIGN inserts.Available in Redfield style to fit Redfield, Leupold, Burris, and similar bases, and ZEE rings that fit Weaver-style bases.I use Burris POS-ALIGN rings on Leupold bases - a great combination.
