Walther experts your help is needed

I am a resident of California and am wondering when the walther P22 pistol will be able for ownership. As far as i have heard there are developments under way for it to be legalized in CA but besides that I know very little about the procedure or the target releaese date. Any information on the subject would be aprectiated greatly....Thank you
