40 grains of Win.760, Fed Match or CCI-BR2 and 52gr Fowler. Also works with 52gr.Sierra or 53gr.Horn. Hornady is a blood and guts bullet!!!!! GHD

I have heard and read that hogdon 380 with 38 grains and a 55 gr bullet are supreme, I have made some but have not made it to the range to test. I have however loaded 37 gr. of imr 4831 and a 52 gr match hp that shoot very tight. But I am just getting started with this gun as it is still very new.Rich
Remember,"your woman may not find you handsome, But atleast she'll find ya handy". I love that show..............

I have tired many a many different loads in this cal. in the last 25 years, in 5 different rifles. You didn't say what kind of shooting you were going to be doing. Will it be target of hunting? Let me know and maybe I can help, for I have shot many different bullets and powders.

I use 34 grs. of IMR 3031 behind a 55gr. v-max moly.I strongly suggestworking up to this load( or any other load you get)gradually and watch for signs of pressure.

Ground Devastation got the right load. I've been shooting 41.5 gr. of 760 win 55gr v-max hor. win primer in my model 70 win varmit special. And it stacks them on top of one another.

Boltaction, Thanks for the praise! My load is definitely not a maximum load!!! It was just a great load for accuracy and it also was very effective at the terminal end!! I don't think I have ever went up as far as 41.6gr of 760 but might have to try it!! At 40 grains it's easy to figure out how much you're saving by doing all this reloading, 7000gr=1lb, so 1lb=175 shots from a can of powder!! (ha)(ha) Isn't this addiction fun!! GHD
