Go to Re-7 and try a few loads. Also look at your loading books and try 3031IMR. You'll probably find one you like.

    Thank's for those load's I'll give them a try . I heard AA2230 IMR 4198 an H322 were good powder's to use also.

I have loaded for several 222 rem's in the past.Usually 19-20 grains of IMR 4198 and the Hornady 52 gr. match bullet is hard to beat. Also have had good luck with Hodgdon BLC-2 powder.I have found that loads about 1-1 1/2 grains below max. usually give the best accuracy.[This message has been edited by old single shots (edited 03-28-2002).]

I use 22.5 grains of H4895 behind a 50 grain Sierra Varmiter with a CCI small rifle 400 primer in Remington cases. Killed a groundhog at 250 yards this evening. Best load I have found for my model 70.
