anyone using this cal. yet? is it worth investing in over a superredhawk in .44mag?

Factory 325 grain load is rated at 1350 FPS. I believe my 390 and 460 grain cast bullet loads are a little better as far as what I use them for compared to what the 325 factory load will do. Both of these loads will do 5" or less groups at 100 yards with the iron sights on the Ruger. Never could figure out why people load hollow point bullets in a revolver when they are already going slow. No need to slow them down even more during expansion and penetration. Could somebody please explain why you use hollow point bullets in a handgun hunting cartridge?

I agree...a good solid will give much better penetration than a hollow point!
