choice Savage or Remington
When it comes to quality is the Remington better built rifle than a Savage? Would appreicate any input. (308 caliber)

I think they are both good quality rifles,and both capable of good accuracy.In my opinion,the Remington has a much better trigger but other than that,i think it's personal preference. 0 -

and then there is the matter of the action, 15yrs from now, if you have shot the barrel out on your remington 700, any good gunsmith can put another barrel on it and have it even more accurate than it was originally, if you don't want to go this route, then people will be standing in line to give you a fair price for your used action. Model 700's tend to be the majority of actions you see being bought for build ups on the benchrest circuits. 0 -
I had a gunsmith buddy tell me long ago that out of the box a Rem 700 is the most accurate weapon. Note we are not talking individual weapons, but the average accuracy of presently produced rifles. And me personally, I like the quality of a Remington over the Savage. My 2 cents, GOOD LUCK ...Mark
