Takedown of a Winchester 1897?

How do you take down a Winchester 1897? It has the same pump slide tube as a Model 12. I tried to turn it and then pull up on it. It will turn but not come out when I pull it. I will not try to force it. I need help!

  You are correct. It disassembles just like a m12. The tube is probably bent or perhaps turned in more than 1/2 turn.
