He said German. Not sure about any special markings. I have it in the shop and looked at the blue book a little. It is post war but I know little about these.b

Post-war PP's were made at Ulm-Donau, and the slide should indicate "Ulm/Do." Those imported after 1968 will show Interarms stamped on the slide; earlier ones without the importer bring higher prices. All should have a 2 digit year stamped on the barrel. If it has the box and target, it is most likely a post-war gun.I would expect a 98% post-war German PP to sell in the $250-300 range; one NIB might bring $450-500.Neal

Thanks guys and I will check on the info given. The book said $800 for 98% but I was unsure of what it would acyually bring. I am sure it will not sell for $300 as the owner knows/thinks its worth much closer to book. Just trying to a good 'feel' of actual selling value to help him get a fair market price.b

It really depends if it's a post '68 or pre '68. There is no way a post '68 will go for $800!! A pre '68 just might, but it would be hard to find a buyer for that price. I would agree that a post '68 would bring in about $300. A pre '68 about $600. A nazi proofed one, (which is very rare in .380!!) would bring in over $1,800!!Matt[This message has been edited by mattsmilitaria (edited 03-26-2002).]

Dont you just love these guys and their "bluebook" values ??? when they price one ( a gun)from the blue thingy its almost always unrealistic as can be...for real world valuescheck the auction sites , gun list , ect...wish we could have the blue book pay us whatit states that some of these items are worth..........

azgunnut, That is why I posted for knowledge on "Ask The EXPERTS" and to also save a little serch time. With your answer to my question, I assumed I would get a few NON-expert replys but you gotta take the good with the bad and make a decision.(lol) I try to ask here and at other EXPERT 'lounges, print out the info, hand it to the person trying to sell. After this I can help them decide on a FAIR MARKET PRICE, not what the blue book thingy says.(grin) But thank you for not letting me down on my assumption.b Now to the rest of the folks that HELPED:It is West German stamped, 9mm kurz, eagle over N, Interarms Imported, 69 barrel date, serial # 316xx. It has 2 clips, serialed box and target (matching) brass cleaning rod, has about 1/8" wear on both sides of the slide in the very front, all else is in new looking condition. I would like your best judgment of fair market value on this newly supplied info. (azgunnut, if you can refrain yourself, please (GRIN)). I wish to thank all of you who have taken time to HELP. azgunnut, I wish to say I hope you can take a little "ribbing" as I only mean to STAB you in FUN.Best, budreaux39
