I was wondering if anyone knows about this particular gun and or its value? BROWNING HIGH POWER, MADE IN BELGIUM ASSEMBLED IN PORTUGAL, HAS TWO CLIPS 9M AND 40 SMITH AND WESSON, APPARENTLY THE BARREL WILL CHAMBER AND FIRE BOTH, GOLD TRIGGER, COMES WITH BOX, AND MANUAL, NEVER FIRED, CHROME FINISH, CONDITION IS EXCELLENT. Any information would help.

I've read that Browning named it the Hi-Power because it was the first commercially successful high capacity pistol (double stack magazine); hence high firepower.

That is partically correct. John Browning designed the gun, and it was originally known as the Browning model HP35. Many simply called it the model "HP". Because of its high capacity mag, I became better known as the "Hi-Power."My Hi-Power is one of the Nazi contract pistols. WaA103 with S/N-76810. I love it! It shoots great, and lives up to its' name!Matt
