which 223 semi auto

I am looking for a 223 in semi auto to carry on my four wheeler when riding in the mountains. I was looking at the mini 14 but have heard it is not that accurate at 200-250 yards. Would like to get one that accepts hicap mags. Price range up to about $700. Would like advice from users of these guns.

  You can accurize the Mini-14 (http://perfectunion.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=55) or get an AR-15. There are lots of choices with the AR, I prefer the Bushmaster Dissipater. I like the mini and it is more politically correct especially here in Kalif. But if you want something a little more fun to shoot go with the AR.

  Bushmaster 20" H-BAR; With good ammo, under 1 inch is common if the trigger man can do his part.

  yes, get a bushmaster or some other AR variant. to accurize a mini-14 would cost you just as much if not more.
