Year of 870 Wingmasters

I have got a wingmaster that looks like it has gone threw the wringer,and was wondering if you could tell me what year it was made.Serial number S502555V.The wood on it looks like air bubbles got under the finish and it is falling off in chunks.Thanks,Oro

  There is a code on the left side of the barrel at the frame that code will tell us the month and year of manufacture, so let us know ....

  (REP) in a ovel then a L and a arrow also a S and a S in a pyramed. Oro

  The L means 2 or feb. and the S means 1969,I hope this helps you, the Remington codes are in the back of the Blue Book for future referance...
