mas 49-56
hey guys i bought an mas 49 56 at a gun show the other day, and i just wanted to know if anyone knew if it would be marked anywhere if it had been converted to 308. i dont know much about these guns but it does have the import mark that says 7.5mm. i hope you guys can helprob

It is usually marked clearly on the left side of the receiver. They way I've seen it, they took the "5" of the 7.5 and over stamped it with "6" followed by a "2". Making it from "7.5" to "7.62". If the one you have is still marked "7.5", that is most likely still what it is chambered for. 0
