In the Cabela's 2001 Fall Master Catalog, on page 457, they show a Kodiak Express Double Riffle in 50 cal, 54 cal, and a 58 cal - with your description for $649.99 and a 72 cal for $679.99. it says the barrels are regulated to point of aim at 75 yards. Oiled finish, select european walnut stock, twist rate of barrels are 1 in 48. WT 9 lb, 3 oz. Hope this helps.[This message has been edited by my-handyman (edited 03-18-2002).]

Guess I forgot to mention, this one is "supposed" to be around 20 yr old, but I can't determine that. Has a nice thick/shiny type finish, like laquer or True oil, and a straight grip stock. The hammers and locks are silver, not like the one in the magazine. You may be right on target with your find,m-h, but this one looks a bit different. How long have these been manufactured? Anyone know?b

i have one of these in .58 cal., nice rifle. they were imported first by a co. in texas, now by navy arms and cabela's. not a collectors item but certainly a good shooter. value for a used one would be about 80/90% of new, less if you sold to a dealer.
