Trim down stock for 14 yr. old son

I am thinking about getting a second stock for my Winchester Mdl. 120 so I can trim it down to fit my 14 year old son. Any better ideas or comments.

  The only drawback I can see is the possibility of moving the center of mass further in front. This may make it harder to handle.
