Can .380/.32 barrels/clips really interchange in 1922 browning?
I have been told that in the case of the 1922 FN Browning, one may change the gun's caliber just by swapping the barrel and mag. For instance, it is in .32 currently; I am told that if I drop in a .380 barrel and clip, all other parts are identical and it will function fine. Is this true?

I have heard the same thing but not by anyone with any authority. I have a .32 and was curious about that myself after seeing one up for auction a few weeks back that started out as a .380 and was changed to .32.

ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE BLIND. DO NOT MUCK WITH ANY GUN CHANGES OF THE TYPE YOU DESCRIBE.

Man, kudos to going through old posts... I posted this one over two years ago!
I still don't have a satisfactory answer, but believe I am correct in saying it IS in fact possible; the exterior dimensions of the barrels are the same as well as clips, and the rest of the parts are the same.... i think... haven't tried it yet and IF it would work, it would be a very specific exception so otherwise LLAA would be right.

I did it some years back, but DID have one problem. The 380 mag would not go into the mag well. I put the mag (both sides) on a belt sander, took off a couple of thousanths and it worked, but mag was still TIGHT!
