the blue steel mags made by western metal products are they any good or are they junk??

They are junk and nothing about them is quality.

The metal is certainly pretty soft, but strangely enough, they all work perfectly in my mini. Can't say the same for my USA's. I dunno, sometimes you just get lucky.
