BT-99 Good Buy ?
I have found a Browning BT-99 at a local pawn shop that appears to be about 95% NRA, Is $580 out the door a good buy on this gun? I don't "need" it but it sure would look nice in the safe.

My aging memory tells me they retailed for about 900 back in the late 80's early 90's, with the adjustable stock ones going a little higher. They were (are) a well thought of trap gun. Been out of clay shooting for a few years now, but trap shooters would place the highest value on it otherwise it's just a fancy single shot, and a 2 3/4" at that.OK Blue book shows 550 @95% less $125 without porting and choke tubes.[This message has been edited by Tailgunner1954 (edited 03-18-2002).][This message has been edited by Tailgunner1954 (edited 03-18-2002).] 0 -
From my experience at the range...they are a simple but good shotgun;HOWEVER, they seem to be more sensitive to either fitting you or they don't, and subsequently scoring with them can be erratic if they don't really happen to fit you well;Best advice is to shoot a few rounds with one before you invest in one...Bill 0
