    Both rifles were used. The Mauser variant was the main rifle during the war, after the Nazis came to power, the straight pull Steyr Mannlicher was used from 1895 through the late 1930's, though it did see some action.

I had already been trying that & coming up with a lot of info on the Austro-Hungarian stuff from WW1. Not too much stuff on the auction sites, but a few things.
