ITHICA MODLE 37 & 87 WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE
I was looking for a Ithica modle 37 to put in my personal collection when a came upon a modle 87 can anyone tell me the difference in the two and would there be any collector value in the 87 over the 37

When Ithica went bankrupt in the early 80'sa investment group called the Ithica Acceptance Group bought their assets and started producing the M37 but renamed it the 87 in honor of the year they took over. I beleive they were solid framed i.e. the barrel didn't come off (At least on the first run) As to value they are pretty much only valued for shooting 0 -

wipala is having the same problem I had earlier today. The "submit" button did not appear to be working, but after giving up and exiting, it had worked every time!The 87 is the updated version of the 37, introduced by the new company that bought the rights and design. I recall seeing it at the SHOT Show when it came out, and I think (not sure years later) that it had a trigger disconnect so holding the trigger back and pumping would no longer fire it, as it would with the old 37. 0 -
