Do colt 1911 mags work in 1991?

I have an item listed on GB and a person ask me if they can use a 7 round colt 1911 mag in an 80's series 1991? Can any one help? Thanks again

  The mags are interchangeable and will work in a springfield also. The 1991 is a less expensive 1911 that came out in '91
