cetme or fal1?
I would be interested in purchasing a ar10 but the ole pocket ain't deep enough. So, a cetme or fal1 would have to suffice. Any feed back good or bad and what i should pay would help. Are they as accurate as any?

i have heard cetme is a good rifle and well worth the money. dont pay more than $500 for one though 0 -
I own an AK47 but i feel safe keeping 2 of everything. I do not want to buy another ak. I want something more accurate. Is the fal or cetme anymore accurate than the ak? I did see another topic like mine after i posted it, ooooppps.

Someone asked if the .308 is more accurate than the 7.62x39? Wow this is like comparing a big mac to a filet mignon, no brainer, .308. The cetme's are down to $369.00 wholesale at southern ohio gun. I own one and have to agree with s-pig, boy are they ever loud, but most accurate and a total hoot to shoot, just my 2.75 cents, (inflation) 0 -
I have had both and like the L1A1 better for its smoother cycling and ease in cleaning. 0 -
Cetme - Barrel/trunion welded to receiverFal - Barrel/trunion screwed into receiverI have both, like the machining on the Fal better. 0 -
So it looks that the fal is better built? Whats this recall i heard on the cetme w/aluminum receiver? Will both take a scope?

Haven't seen a Cetme with an aluminum receiver. There are some G-3 clones with an aluminun receiver, but they all have the "flattop" designed in Weaver rail. These are also pinned onto the trunion, not welded like the original Cetme/HK91 design. The long way around to your question, yes you can put a scope on the Cetme, find a B Square dealer and purchase the mount for about $50, same as the HK91 mount. Original German HK91 mounts sell for over $200. 0
