Norinco MAK 90
What can anyone tell me about the chinese made norinco mak 90 (ak47 copy)? Are they reliable? How do they rank among all the AK copies and variants out there? Thanks to all who can help me.

I own a norinco NHM-91 which is a sporter mak-90 with a longer barrel and a thumbhole stock. It is one of the best variants I have shot and I have shot a few. I really do not see where you could go wrong with the norinco product. 0 -
I HAVE ONE AND HAVE EXPERIENCED NO PROBLEMS. JUST BE SURE TO LET IT COOL OFF AFTER SHOOTING SEVERAL HUNDRED ROUNDS THROUGH IT BEFORE PUTTING IT AWAY. 0 -
I've sold Chinese AK variants since 1986. They've proven to be one of the most reliable manufacturers of AK's I've ever handled. The MAK 90 is just a post-ban version of the other Chinese semi-auto AK's. They are good solid pieces. I had forgotten as of late, how smooth the Chinese ones were. Having been handling so many of the Romanian and Egyptian ones in the last few years, I had forgotton how nice and smooth the MAK90's or pre-ban Chinese AK's used to be. Not to say the more recent offerings are bad, just not as smooth as some from years ago. 0
