Need info. on this 03 peep sight, know anything about it?

I have never seen anything like this before, do any of you have any experience with this sight, accuracy, reliablility, anything.....?? Sorry, no pictures, but if you know anything of it, you'll recognize the descripton.BELDING AND MULL BOLT PEEP SIGHT FOR A 1903 SPRINGFIELD. CAME OFF A CUSTOM RIFLE. WINDAGE AND ELEVATION LOCKS, EXCELLENT CONDITION, COMPLETE WITH STRIKER ASSEMBLY, JUST SCREW IT INTO YOUR BOLT. A VERY RARE SIGHT.

  Thought I had a catalog listing for one, wrong again, however I do show a Pacific mounted that way. seems the idea was to get the peep as close to the eye as possable.Sure would like to get somethings for the prices listed in this book ***dream state 1911 NM .45 for 52.75....****

  Old sights are big collectables. This one sounds rare and should get a nice price at auction. I wouldnt keep it because of its' inherent inaccuracy. Due to the play between bolt and receiver, the bolt-mounted rear sight can be in a different place every time you close the bolt. It might be ok for hunting but not for the range.
