G3 / HK91
I want an HK91/G3. I want an origional military weapon. I don't want a kit gun with a new U.S. receiver. Can I find such a gun still? I have a few thousand to spend. What would you recomend that I look and ask for. Whear do I get one from? I have seen a Portugese G3 and I love the looks.

If you want a balance between quality and price look for a Special Weapons SW3. It's as high a quality as an HK91 and yet you can get one NIB and it's close to $1000 cheaper. Obviously no flash hider but at least it looks relatively realistic, as there's a steel sleeve welded on inside. IMO, this is the one to buy.www.specialweaponsllc.com If you want economy then look at one of the low end clones. Seems like the general consensious on this board is that they need some cleaning, maybe a little tweeking but they're pretty good for the amount spent. If you want a folding stock (or the option to install) then you're pretty much limited to a true preban HK91.
