Colt's Firearms Starfire Flare Launcher
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the value of a 5" flare launcher made by Colts Firearms for Danforth/White. It is called a Starfire flare launcher and perhaps was manufactured for police or military use. I have no dates of manufacture or any idea when this was produced. The flare screw's into the end of the barrel and a spring recoiled hammer is pulled back and then flicked to set off. Any help would be appreciated!

These were issued in Viet Nam to pilots. As to value, I have offered to buy flares for two dollars a piece and have been turned down. If they still make the flares I would like to know where as I have a launcher and several flares and would like more. As far as I know they only made red flares. The flares came seven to a pack clipped into a red plastic holder. One guy also had a box of five. Sorry, I can't tell you a value. I wasn't willing to pay more then $2 a flare and $5 for the gun. 0 -
Interest in flare guns is practically non-existent. Beautiful WWII brass flare guns are seen at gun shows, and go begging at $100.You may get lucky if you try to sell, but don't get your hopes up. Value is probably close to nothing.Neal 0
