not sure but isn't 9.5x69 the metric designation for the old 375 H&H magnum ?*cartridges of the world dosn't list a 9.5x69, but they don't list the 7.62x63 either*

I think the tailgunner is right. I got an old box cover (Rem/UMC) with that on it and it resembles a modern .375 H&H Mag..

I had a hunch that it was what you say. Couldn't find the metric and English versions side by side. Thanks a bunch for the info. Russ

Besides the scarey thought of firing this round in a handgun, isn't it designed to be loaded with a pretty slow burning powder? However, it would probably make for a cool night shoot photo.Next question, why did someone have an XP100 chambered in this caliber in the first place?

This has been driving me crazy, but I may be close to an answer. Try www.reedercustomguns.com click T/C then custom cartridges. Is that a 378 GNR beside the 375H&H. I know from my Speer manual that the H&H case length is 72.39mm long, and the case mouth is 10.26mm. [.379"=9.63mm][This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 03-02-2002).][This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 03-02-2002).][This message has been edited by oneshy (edited 03-02-2002).]
