Bullet crimp on .454s
I am still waiting for my bullet mold, and will be a while. It gives me time to work out a few questions I have though. The one I have right now is regarding crimping the .454. I have read on Beartooth Bullets web site that some have complained of the bullet jumping crimp with slow burning powders. They recommend that one use the Redding Profile Crimp Die, as its the only one they know of that cures this problem each time. I have always used Lee Factory Crimp Dies on my heavy caliber guns. The question is, since I have no experience with the Redding line: Will the Lee Factory Crimp dies perform as well as the Redding Profile Crimp Die? Does anyone have any experience with this question? I would like to stick with what I know, the Lee.
