If you can't fix it with a hammer, take it to a mechanic. will270win@aol.com ~Secret Select Society Of Suave Stylish Smoking Jackets~

That's a Vari-XIII, right? I'd think you should be able to get $400 or so without a problem. I sold a Vari-XII last year with similar characteristics for $325 to a gentleman in South Africa, including shipping. I found out the market is somewhat smaller for the target scopes than hunting scopes, so it took longer to sell than I originally had planned. Hope this helps.

Thanks! With all the goodies, including the rings, I think I am going to ask $350 for it so it's a good deal. Whaduya think?

Sounds good to me. Another option may be in the $375 neighborhood w/ free shipping in the lower 48. I personally like to know exactly what it's going to cost out of my wallet when I'm buying, but that's just me. The few times I have sold anything via internet I include these extra charges in the price. That extra should more than cover your S/H charges. If I was in the market right now, I would definitely think that's fair price. Good luck.

Will270, I think DaRoosta has a good plan. When I am bidding I always have the shipping in the back of my mind and it probably leaves me bidding a little conservatively. If I knew shipping was included, I might go a few dollars higher. And, you make a little more on the deal, since shipping won't cost $25.

Last week I sold a bunch of Leupold scopes and assorted binoculars on eBay that our family no longer needed. The response was unbelievable. The key to success is good pictures. I had two identical 12x scopes, one with pictures and one without. They went for $35 different, the scope with the pictures being higher. I'd start your scope at a price on the lower end of your comfort range, but still acceptable, then let the "market" dictate what they are worth. I think you will be surprised at how well quality optics hold their value. For instance, my Swarovski binoculars went for $150 higher than I expected. Good luck!

Wow, Will you didn't say it came with a rifle! How did you do a 5 hour auction?
