Remington 16ga information
Looking for information on an older Remingtion 16ga automatic shotgun. Just looked at it brieflly and did not see a model number on it. Gun may be from mid 40's, has duck engraving on both sides of receiver and back of reciver is squared off, I think the term is humpbacked, looks like some browning shotguns I have seen. Gun also has a selectable choke on it. Any information is apprecitated, thanks.[This message has been edited by tajjn (edited 02-25-2002).]

sounds like a rem. m-11, these were made from 1911 to ww11, browning pat. 16 ga. and adj. choke don't make for a collects gun. worth about $100/200 for a shooter. 0 -
It is actually a remington Sportsman Model. And you are correct they are patterened on the Browning (I think it's the A-5). I have one and it's a sweet little dove gun. Mine was made in 1949 and is Mod choke, non-adjustable. They were made from 1931-1949. It actually has a pheasant on the right side of the receiver and a duck on the left. On the bolt is engraved "the SPORTSMAN". A plain barrel in 98% is worth about $275.[This message has been edited by chilip (edited 02-26-2002).] 0 -
