Yes--however, don't forget that after the expiration date shown on the FFL document a dealer may continue to do business if an application and fee for renewal was submitted before that date until his new FFL is issued (or refused). 0 -
If it was a Type 03 (C&R) FFl, it won't show up on the BATF eZCheck site. Also, an FFL copy doesn't have to be signed in ink, although it is recommended. It only has to have an original signature. It can be in pencil (not advised), crayon, paint, or whatever. 0 -
I'm not an FFL, so maybe I'm mistaken, but I thought if the renewal didn't arrive prior to the experiation, the BTAF sent an extension letter.

You must submit a renewal application prior to the expiration of the license. If you don't, you have to start the process from the start. If you submitted a renewal on time, your license will have an automatic 90 (?) day extension. BATF will issue a letter if your license has expired and you have submitted a renewal application. It is not automatic. You have to ask for one. My license will expire on April 1st. I received the renewal form from BATF on Jan 14th and I sent it in the next day. I'm still waiting! 0 -
EOD guy... Did the renewal notice come to you with no action on your part?? or did you have to request the renewal paperwork?? 0 -
BATF sends out the renewal form automatically 60-90 days prior to expiration. 0 -
This is in addition to what SaxonPig said. The more we Police ourselves the less Government will be needed. And that will benifit all Legal and Responsible Citizens.
