Does any body have an easy way to wind up the spring on one of these 'pop-up' tang sights after some idiot took it apart (other than a vise grip and 47 cuss words)?

  I have a marbles tang sight off of 1894 winchester that needs repair. Patent date 1903. When you stand the sight straight up, there is no spring tension or clicking noise. The sight has two springs, one underneath and one coil spring inside. Any body know how to fix this or some who knows how. Thanks
