Scope Mounts
hi
i am putting a scope on a new rifle.a friend said to use high mounts.now i always mount my scopes as close to the barrel as i can get.always thought that would be more acurate.Listening to my friend i was curious if it matters?Thinking about triing it but it does not seem like it would be beneficial to me.woundering what othere people think. thanks for the time.

WHO MAKES SCOPE MOUNTS FOR A COLT LIGHT RIFLE AND DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ITEM # OF THE MOUNTS THANKS 0 -
Scope mounts, like Leupold, Burris, Redfield, and Weaver are made for just about any rifle...including jungle carbines. But the jungle carbine will have to be drilled and tapped by someone with skills to do so--like a gunsmith. It might be best for your brother to work through a local gunsmith on setting the rifle up for scope sights. The gunsmith will recommend a good brand of mounts.I have all of the above mentioned brands of mounts on my rifles. They are all good. 0
