Closed threads
Why are all these threads locked down? I wanted to offer a little information to one of the poster's but it seems that as a topic reaches 10, or so, it gets locked. The regulars get to talk, but not the people that are limited by their jobs to a day or two a week. Guess I will shut up and go back to the General discussion board where i can get a word in edgewise.

With out trying to start any name calling or word fights and since I am relatively new to this forum who appointed Capt. Kirk the God Almightly and why does he determine the number of responses on a thread and limit them to ten? I just logged on this evening and was reading the cartridge debate and wanted to comment and the thread was closed. Go figure. 0 -
I don't think that he limits them to ten, its just when they get old, and just about everything that can be said has been said, he closes them, if something else may arise in the future then start the topic over. Its no big deal, just keeps the server from being overloaded with crap, thats all. Keeps fresh topics going. 0 -
I would rather have a thread cut off when the topic is answered vs letting it go on forever with no new facts/info being presented.I just visited a board where a thread had 1096 replies, the topic? Whether a (made for) target bullet should be used for hunting.I commend Capt. Kirk for keeping this board as nice as it is.Bob 0 -
I agree with limiting replies and commend the good Captain for his even-handed work. As to who appointed him god, the answer is Admin, the owners of the sight did. He is the moderator and it is his job. 0
