Colt double barrel shotgun
I have been looking at a Colt model 1878 outside hammer shotgun that is in pretty nice shape. It has a straight stock as opposed to a semi-pistol grip. The owner says it was a special order. What does this do to the value if anything? He's asking $1200. Is this reasonable for this gun? Thanks.

According to the Twenty-Second Edition of the Blue Book of Gun Values, It states: "10 or 12 ga., 28-32 in. blued or browned damascus barrels, double triggers, sideplates, case hardened breech, non-automatic ejectors, semi-pistol grip stock, 22,683 mfg. between 1878-1889. Many of these guns were ordered with special features -- these original guns command premiums above the prices listed below." 100% 98% 95% 90% 80% 70% 60% 3,750 3,250 2,950 2,675 2,200 1,925 1,650 50% 40% 30% 20% 10%1.485 1,100 990 880 725Hope this helps!
