model 37 winchester
I took nunn's advice and searched auctions which have closed for a mod 37 win. I saw several and noticed they all had a different forearm grip than mine had. Mine was not tapered toward the front but the same size from end to end. All the pictures show a tapered forearm what's up with that???

Is there any real differance between the 12 ga. and the 16 ga. stocks[?] 0 -
I have had one since about 1956 or so. A Christmas present. Mine is a 410 and the forend is the same from end to end. 0 -
I also have a Mod. 37 .410 and the forestock is non-tapered. I have worked on several in other gauges that have come through my shop and none had tapered forestocks. I'll bet that you are looking at the Mod. 37A which does have a tapered stock, some with finger grooves on the sides, and is a different animal internally from the original Mod. 37. 0 -
Thanks. I knew someone would know. 0
