    Joebuck ,go down until you see a tread on H.S.B.&CO. I also have a shotgun made by cresent moreless as you will see.

    Hey HEY! Something that I know the answer to. Actually I asked NRA this same thing. Here is what they said.

    Joe, I have a Crescent side by also, but in 12 gage. The way that I understand it, Crescent started out making its own gun but then in the 19 teens started to manufacture for sears, wards, and just about anyone who wanted there name on a shot gun. Not a great collectible, but good field gun. My 12 ga still works just fine. Having a smith check it is a good idea, but I'll bet that it will be good to go!! have fun
