C MP C stamp on AR15 barrel?

I've got an Eagle Arms EA-15, 4 digit Serial #, A1 upper receiver and there's a stamp on the barrel about midway between the front site and the flash hider. It'sC MP Cbut the M and the P are sort of blended together so the right side of the M and left side of the P share the same edge. Is there any significance to this stamp?GL
