steyr m series pistols
I am intrested in buying a Steyr m- 40 but I dont know much about the gun itself. I handled the gun at a local gunshop, it felt great in my hand and I love the triangle sights it has. If anyone knows any pros or cons about this gun let me know. THANKS

The plastic gun trend. The m40 is a great gun, very accurate, doesn't kick much, plus imo it's the best looking polymer gun out there, bar none. However, I recently sold mine. There is currently no importer for the steyr line and no one currently to perform warranty service on them. Supposedly, there is a new importer in the works, but nothing definite. It hurt to sell it, but when they become generally available again with someone to do work on them. I will not hesitate to buy the m9 and the m40, even the m357 when and if they come out to. 0 -

Absolutely untrue. Steyr is very much in business. Dynamit Nobel is their new US importer, including the M-series pistols.
