hmm never mind, I think I fixed it; have to clean it and put it back together to know for sure.

It is cycling correctly now. Whew, i was worried about having to buy some parts or paying a gunsmith; I would rather buy some ammo

Glad it worked out. I have a 10/22T and I hate the damn thing.I'd rather pay a gunsmith than lose a body part.

Good point Terv. You might want to do a search and find a post I started about my 10/22, titled "10/22 jams". Mine had problems cycling also, and I got a lot of great advice for future reference.

I ran a search but couldnt find your post niklasal; the goofy shell came out no problem, so tehre was no bad risk (a lot better than driving with it in the truck with us); I would also like to add that there were at least a a half dozen insstances where those Remington bullets failed to fire even after being struck properly.

Dammit it got deleted. It was a good post too.Basically, things to watch out for were proper lubrication, poor quality magazine, cheap ammo. My problem was lubrication.. I think. I still need time to field test.

I have a box of Federal, last week I was using Winchester superX with good results (still have 100 of them left),
