shotgun shell reloading
I have been reloading 12 gauge shells for years and i never tumbled the hulls. I read an artical on line that said that i have tumble them. Does any one else tumble there shells or do anything else to them?

no tumble, I just make sure they're clean(no mud or cocoons. 0 -
Don't tumble them. The abrasive tumbling material will score the hulls and make them both hard to extract and ugly. I wash mine in a net bag in the washing machine, sun dry (after every 3 or 4 uses).

I tumble mine, for no particular reason, other than the fact I like clean hulls. Never encountered any problems as mentioned above, and my brass looks sharp.
