1920's L.C. Smith Double Barrel Shotgun Worth?

    Marsye--For anyone to give you an answer they would need to have more information.L C Smith shotguns range from a few hundred to many thousands of dollars.It depends on Grade-condition-gauge.If you can give us more info., i am sure someone may be able to at least give you a (ballpark) figure.

    Thanks for the reply. I thinks its a 12 guage. My eyes are not real good anymore but on the barrel it looks like "Hunter Arms Co. Makers Fulton, NY ...and "Armor Steel" Thats all I can tell you about it. This gun looks like it been well taken care of.

    I've got a field grade shooter (not collectable,don't know year,they were made into the 50's)and I could not sell it for $100 at the gun show,so I kept it.

    the person it came from told me it was 1920's so I took his word for it. Anyway to tell for sure? Its looks very old but in great condition!

    I don't have a digital camerathe barrel has numerous small dentsslight pitting 2 to 6 inches in front of the chamber (inside)has been rebluedstock is functional,it has a chunk of woodinset on the butt (looks like a chip repair about one inch square) the rubber pad is hard.32" barrelspretty ruff.if your still interested I'll get some pictures and list it.
