If you have not taken it out and shot it, have kept all of the necessary papers it was shipped with intact, it has a current value of between $225 - $250 here in mid-USA,maybe more elsewhere as a collectable. Drew, Straight is correct on the price. This is one little beauty that will be worth quite a bit more in the future. I've seen them as high as $275 at several different shows in the Houston area. Don't get too itchy and do something dumb like shooting it and you'll have a collector piece in the future.Tideman

tideman, Prices may be higher down there, thats where I bought mine from, and I have 270.00 into mine, but I cant remember if that is including the transfer fees or not, anyway, they will have to go up a lot before I can make anything off of mine. I've been looking at it sitting there, in the box, in plastic for 3 yrs., wondering if I'll ever shoot it, but nah, I have an old Woodsman for that, its not really in collectable condition, so if I get itchy I go shoot it.straight, thats nice to know about the 222xxxx part, mine is a 222-, good to know. I never could get a straight answer from Ruger about how many of the anniversary models they produced, anyone know the figures on this model?

In other words they aren't anymore valuable than any other MKII but maybe in 30 years or so; still probaby not a big collector piece ... ... look at all the other commemeritives, to me it seems like a waste to buy a gun and not shoot it, I guess it takes a special person ... IMHO Not sure how many they made but it seems like I've seen alot of them ... either that or it was the same ones over & over ... not selling.

kimberkid, Pretty much have it right. Ruger made a lot of these, but I dont know how many, so that will probably keep it from being a REAL collectable. I dont need it to shoot, so its easy not to, I dont shoot most of my guns, really just need about 4, the other 20 something just collect dust, but they sure look good to me.
