Haven't had one myself, used a friend's once - never again. Two friends bought it, both bought a Dillon within a year. Nuff said.

mine has served me very well for almost 8 years. its a bit slower to change calibers but has never bothered me. they are a bit more temperamental than a true progressive press, and do take a little more tlc. ive never had problems turning out between 4 and 5 hundred rounds an hour, and none of the loads ive made on it has given any problems. they arent for everybody tho.

I have one. I have been using it for a year or two. You have to buy shell plates for each caliber that cost around 22.00 each. The main problem is that if anything goes wrong you have to stop and straighten it out and that can easily cause a double charged case or even more. So I divide the operations into three. Deprime, open neck is the first. Hand prime as the second. And charge, seat bullet and crimp if you need the factory crimp to make the pistol happy. This is much faster than the rock chucker by itself. And easy to control quality. I also fixed a couple of dental mirrors to the loader so I can see into each shell before I seat the bullet, One to direct light into the shell and one to see.My opinion, its' probably a wash. The extra expense would probably save you headaches, but the cheaper set up works fine. One more drawback. You can't load any rifle ammo bigger than .223. I don't care because I hand load every rifle cartridge with care for accuracy anyway on a spare rock chucker.PS The quick change die bushings you can buy for the rock chucker are ever so cool for rifle loads. Definitely a great product. Only works on standard rock chucker. Saves tons of setup time.Hope that helpsEric
