hehehe, My advise, put the tumbler on a level concreat floor and throw a whole bunch of dirty cloths on it, thats what I do, hasn't started a fire yet... 0 -
Get a rotary tumbler with a rubber barrel. Mine is made by Thumbler.Whatever you do don't buy a Lyman Tubby Tumbler. I've got one of those too. The most noisy thing you ever saw.WOODS 0 -
Don't get a Midway tumbler either. AND DON"T COVER ONE WITH LAUNDRY!!! One user here tried that and it melted the motor to the housing and almost did cause a fire.

What i would do if the tumbler is too loud ,is make a box out of plywood, line the inside with styrofoam and set it over top of the tumbler 0 -
The model 1229 from Midway is NOT it. It is very noisey. Secondly it eats motors like popcorn.NO --- I an not the one that covered the Midway in laundry and melted it down. 0 -

My dillon vibratory cleaner is quiet enough. I run it in a back bedroom on the carpet and cant hear it. 0 -
I get the award for melting the coating on my motor, it was a Cabellas tumbler, and is still going strong today after a little rehab. My midway tumbler is working fine too, they're both loud, oh well, they work well. Dont cover them, and dont put them in a box as suggested, same thing will happen, heat cant escape and it will get hot.

Mine is made by past, and I am not sure if there is such a thing as a quiet tummbler.I have a seperate gun room in the house and just turn it on and leave.

I have got a dillon also, its not to bad at all. 0 -
The quietest way is to use a rock polisher. It rolls a barrel with the media and brass inside. Very quiet, but takes about twice as long to work.
